Most information about humanoid robots is scattered across manufacturer marketing pages, trade press coverage and academic papers. Specifications change without notice. UK-specific context is almost never provided. This directory exists to solve that problem by maintaining a single structured source with consistent data, honest sourcing labels and regular verification.

The full database will catalogue every significant commercial and announced humanoid robot platform, with structured fields covering technical specifications, pricing models, UK availability status and verified UK provider contacts. Data is sourced from manufacturer publications, verified press reporting and direct provider contact. Where a figure cannot be independently confirmed, it is labelled clearly.

Why a UK-specific directory matters

Global directories and manufacturer websites do not address the questions that matter to a UK buyer. Published list prices do not reflect UK import duties, VAT, or the cost of local integration support. Availability status on a US manufacturer's website says nothing about which UK distributors can actually deliver, support and maintain a deployment. Legal and liability questions differ. The pool of qualified UK systems integrators is small and not well documented.

This directory focuses on UK-relevant data: which platforms have confirmed UK availability, which providers operate in the UK, what the realistic cost structure looks like for a UK deployment, and which UK organisations have already deployed humanoid robots in a real operational context. Where UK-specific data does not yet exist, that absence is stated plainly rather than filled with global figures that may not apply.

Humanoid robotics is in genuine commercial transition. Several platforms are now sold or leased commercially, and real deployments are operating in manufacturing and logistics environments. At the same time, the market is early. Most platforms are not yet available to UK buyers off the shelf. Consumer-facing humanoid robots are not generally available.
