About this site

What the directory is and how it works

An independent reference database for humanoid robots, their specifications, manufacturers and UK providers. No manufacturer funding. No undisclosed commercial relationships. Data cited and dated on every entry.

Humanoid Robot Directory exists because no clean, structured, UK-focused reference for humanoid robots currently exists. Information is scattered, often marketing-led, and almost never addressed to UK buyers who need to understand UK availability, UK pricing and UK support infrastructure. This directory is being built to fill that gap honestly.

Editorial stance

Independent, source-cited, honest about what is not known

The directory is editorially independent. It does not accept payment from manufacturers or providers in exchange for favourable coverage, higher search placement or uncritical presentation. Enhanced listings, when they become available, are labelled as such. Editorial content is produced separately from commercial relationships and is not influenced by them.

Where data cannot be independently verified from a reliable source, it is labelled "NOT VERIFIED" and the source that reported it is noted. This applies to prices, specifications and availability claims that come only from manufacturer press releases or single trade-press sources without independent confirmation. We would rather say "this is reported but not confirmed" than present unverified figures as facts.

Where a specification changes and we become aware of the change, the listing is updated and the update is dated. Listings carry a "last verified" date so readers can judge the currency of the data for themselves.

Data methodology

How listings are researched and maintained

Each robot profile draws on manufacturer-published documentation, verified trade press reporting, and where possible direct contact with UK providers and distributors. The hierarchy is: primary source (manufacturer or official distributor) preferred over secondary source (trade press) preferred over community-reported figures.

Every specification entry carries the source it was drawn from and the date on which it was recorded. When a figure is available only from a secondary source, that is noted. When a figure is estimated or unconfirmed, it is labelled explicitly. When a price is not publicly disclosed by the manufacturer, the listing says so rather than using a speculative figure.

Provider profiles are verified by direct contact where possible. A provider listed as active is one whose current services have been confirmed within the past twelve months. Listings that cannot be re-verified are either updated or marked as unconfirmed.

Where we are

An honest note on the current state of the directory

The directory launched in September 2026. The full searchable database, with structured robot profiles, filtered listing views and comparison tools, is under active construction. Robot profiles, manufacturer pages and UK provider listings will be published in sequence as data is gathered and verified. Launching a small number of well-researched entries is preferable to launching a large number of thin or unverified ones.

The guides section is available now and provides useful reference material on specifications, market structure and the considerations relevant to UK procurement. New guides are added as the coverage develops.

This is a long-horizon project. The directory's value grows with every entry added, every price update recorded and every new UK provider profiled. The intention is to be the most complete and most accurate English-language reference for humanoid robot data with UK context. That goal is achieved through consistent, careful, honest work over months and years, not through volume or speed.

Corrections and contributions

Corrections are welcomed

Manufacturers, providers and well-informed readers who spot errors in the directory's data are encouraged to write in. A correction submitted with a primary source citation is the most useful kind. The email address for corrections and data contributions is hello@humanoidrobotdirectory.co.uk.

UK providers and manufacturers who wish to be included in the directory are also welcome to make contact. Inclusion is editorial, not automatic, and every entry is reviewed before publication.
